Val, Paul and Leonie are the nicest people I have come across. We got to know them very well and within a short space of time they became like family. They made our 88 days an easy , fun and a safe experience. We were all apprehensive before we arrived and within a few days we realised we hit gold and were lucky to have found the place. Val treats everyone like a human and does her best to get everyone decent jobs as soon as possible. Already a great connection with local farmers. The place was under new management for some time (D&J were not so nice and disrespectful to backpackers who genuinely didn't deserve it) apparently they have gone AWOL now though (unusual for a man boasting about his military background that treats the place like an army camp. But I'm sure he has his own issues ) the motel itself though has great facilities, a kitchen, games room, swimming pool and clean rooms. Tradies and guest rooms get professionaly cleaned most days and backpackers get their rooms professionaly cleaned twice a week which is amazing ! Clean and comfortable ! If I had the money I would buy the place because it has a great set up already. Located conveniently next to everything in Wentworth. Amazing experience!I must start by saying that this hostel has far exceeded my expectations of what it would be like staying in a hostel to complete my 88 days of farm work.This hostel was recommended to me by a friend whilst I was staying in Brisbane, I called the hostel and was greeted by Val who was so lovely and helpful when I told her myself and a few friends were in desperate need of completing our farm work and would have to travel 32 hours on trains and coaches to arrive!We arrived at midnight two days later and checked into our room, I was pleasently surprised to be greeted by a modern and incredibly clean room! The room consists of one bunk bed and 3 single beds. The mattress' are very comfortable, there are shelves to put your belongings on, a fridge and a TV. The bathroom is very clean and has a great shower. This is by far the best room I have ever stayed in during my travels and the cleanliness and facilities even surpass that of some hotels I've stayed in.the rooms are cleaned twice a week and sheets are changed for you.There is a BBQ area with two free to use BBQ's and a room with ping pong, air hockey and a pool table! As Wentworth itself is quite secluded with a limited number of things to do (there's a few pubs and a couple of historical things to see) it's great that these facilities are provided as it keeps you entertained!Val, Paul and Leone (I hope I've spelt that right) are some of the nicest people I have ever met, they actually care about finding you good jobs and make sure that you're okay and happy. I genuinely enjoy their company and they are always happy to chat with you and help you out whenever you need it! They've even organised trips to the nearby town Mildura when backpackers have needed to buy farm clothes or have just wanted to get out of Wentworth for a few hours!They have also put on a free BBQ for everyone before which was lovely and made for a great evening!I have had a variety of farm jobs during my stay here, all of which have been hourly, the farmers have all been great and Val always ensures that the farm you're sent to is a good fit for you.I have completed my days and am still currently staying here just to save up some more money as I like the place and it feels like home!Obviously there are a few negative reviews on here, something that seems to be a trend for reviews on hostels as it seems backpackers only really leave reviews when they are unhappy hence why I felt I just had to leave a positive review as my experience has been amazing and Val, Paul and Leone deserve credit for all they do for the backpackers who stay at their great place!Thank you so much for my great experience, I'll certainly remember my experience here forever and am so grateful for everything!A review from a very happy backpacker!Jess :)Show less
